Echo Rock Area

  • Touch and Go (5.9)

Sunday, the whole group spent most of the day in the Lost Horse Area.

  • Rock-a-Lot (5.7)
  • Rock Candy (5.9)
  • Double Dogleg (5.7)

Trashcan Rock

Beautiful day climbing with Chris Miller:

Pet Rock

  • Penthouse Pet (5.6)
  • Excitable Boy (5.9)
  • Pet Project (5.4)
  • She’s So Unusual (5.7)
  • Pet Shop Girls (5.8)

Jellystone

  • Boo Boo (5.9R)
  • The Bear Necessities (5.7)
  • Scrabble Marathons (5.8+)

Jellystone was still very rough.  There was chalk and evidence that others had climbed it since the first ascent, but the rock was very suspect, and I thought Chris was very brave to lead the climbs.

I was determined to make the summit this weekend, and looking forward to the solitude in the mountains after a long, busy week at work. Visiting the Cottonwood Lakes for the second time in as many weeks was just as fun as the first time.

Walter and I dayhiked Mount Langley via Cottonwood Lakes and Old Army Pass. We woke up late and took a wrong turn, so didn’t make the summit, but I had a great time in a beautiful setting!
