Spent the day at Locomotion Rock, where all the climbs are either sandbagged by two grades or graded without regard to the start of the climb. Miguel, Isabelle, Paul Garry, Doug, Chi, Walter, Charles and I all managed to work on:
A fun weekend with David V, Patty, Brad, Charles, Shaun and Mr M.
Spent Saturday climbing with David V and Patty at:
Hidden Valley Campground
Echo Rock Area
Sunday, the whole group spent most of the day in the Lost Horse Area.
Rock Garden Valley – Middle Section
Trashcan Rock
The highlights of the weekend included getting back on Double Cross, which has become like an old friend, and Charles doing his first trad lead on Double Dogleg. What a lot of fun!
Beautiful day climbing with Chris Miller:
Pet Rock
Jellystone
Jellystone was still very rough. There was chalk and evidence that others had climbed it since the first ascent, but the rock was very suspect, and I thought Chris was very brave to lead the climbs.
I was determined to make the summit this weekend, and looking forward to the solitude in the mountains after a long, busy week at work. Visiting the Cottonwood Lakes for the second time in as many weeks was just as fun as the first time.
Walter and I dayhiked Mount Langley via Cottonwood Lakes and Old Army Pass. We woke up late and took a wrong turn, so didn’t make the summit, but I had a great time in a beautiful setting!
